Participation Reports
Thank you for participating in the 2010 Great Colleges to Work For program sponsored by The Chronicle of Higher Education. The goals of this survey are to recognize excellent workplaces within higher education and to compile meaningful data to inform strategic planning and drive performance improvement. Participating institutions will receive three free reports: - Topline Survey Results Report
- Topline Results by Job Category Report
- Topline Higher Education Benchmark Report
We also include an overview of the program and guidelines for interpreting your results. These reports are described below.
The Topline Survey Results Report is a one-page graphical summary shows your institution's overall survey results within 15 different themes including: - Job Satisfaction/Support
- Career Development, Research & Scholarship
- Communication
- Supervisor Relationship
- Participation in College Governance
You will also receive benchmarking data to compare your institution's results against "Best in Size" as well as Carnegie Classification. Click here for a sample Topline Survey Results Report. Please note this report is subject to change for the 2010 program. The Topline Results by Job Category Report shows you both the overall positive responses (percent who “Strongly Agree” or “Agree”) and the overall negative responses (percent who “Disagree” or “Strongly Disagree”) broken out by your Administration, Faculty and Exempt Professional Staff. Click here for a sample Topline Results by Job Category Report. Please note this report is subject to change for the 2010 program. The Topline Higher Education Benchmark Report is a five- to ten- page excerpt of the larger ModernThink Higher Education Benchmark and Best Practices Report, which offers aggregate data from the Institutional Questionnaire© (IQ) - an audit of policies and practices completed by all program participants. You will see aggregate statistics on turnover rates, applicants per hire, salary ranges, training hours, paid holidays, and much more. The report also includes an inventory of the most popular benefits, policies and communication tools. Click here for a sample Topline Higher Education Benchmark Report.
