2010 Participation Checklist
Please refer to the checklist below throughout the process to ensure that you’re on track with the 2010 program requirement. All program forms, sample reports and surveys are collected here.

Email sent by ModernThink to your institution’s primary contact and IT contact in advance of the survey launch.
Confirm receipt of the test email by replying to the email by March 5.
IMPORTANT: Before this test, download the IT Requirements document and forward to your IT contact. This document details the domains/IP addresses to be exempted (or “whitelisted”) on “spam” filters running on your institution’s e-mail servers. | | March 1 | (Optional) Customization of the survey closes. This option includes oversampling and/or includes Other Staff in the survey. See Customization Options for more details. | March 3 | Deadline for email address uploads for everyone in your random sample of full-time Faculty, Administrators and Exempt Professional Staff.
Survey Verification Form due.
NEW PROCESS - Upload your institution's email addresses and completed Verification Form through your individually customized portal. Login information will be sent to the primary contact on February 19th. See Downloads for instructions on how to format the email list. | March 5 | Institution Questionnaire password emailed to Institution's primary contact. Deadline to complete the IQ is April 16. | March 15 | Pre-Survey Communication of the employee survey is critical. This communication should be sent by your institution to your full-time Faculty, Administrators and Exempt Professional Staff. See Downloads for sample communication templates.
TIP: This letter should be from your institution’s president/provost, chief academic officer, or other senior representative. The letter "positions" the survey/program and serves as an alert so that employees don't delete survey invitation email. Institutions that pre-communicated the survey had significantly higher response rates. | March 22- April 16 | ModernThink Higher Education Insight Survey© period for your participating full time Faculty members, Administrators and Exempt Professional Staff. ModernThink will send reminder emails to employees that have not yet completed the survey during the process.
If you are using login sets, it is up to you to send internal reminder communications. | April 16 | Institution Questionnaire due. | July 2010 | Participation Reports sent to all applicants. | Week of July 9 | License Agreement available for use of the program logo for recognized institutions. | September 15 | Deadline to order Additional Reports at early order discount.
